What they came
to me with
MODL builds modular and buildable gear straps. The Infinity Tool and an entire connective ecosystem around it. A great and genuinely different product, however that was the problem. The Infinity Tool is hard to explain in a still image and harder in just text.
MODL didn’t need a videographer for a shoot day. They needed someone who understood the product well enough to keep explaining it, launching it and selling it consistently online.
they would have loved.
How I did it
I took a retainer, not a project. That allowed for successful awareness and a clear sales funnel through content.
Four buckets, four jobs
Social ads to explain and sell. Launch campaigns to give releases a why. Organic videos to create awareness and tell stories. How-to video to answer the questions killing conversions.
Shoot for the launch before it exists
Knowing the roadmap months out means one trip produces assets for three campaigns. That only works when you’re inside the calendar, not booked against it.
Let the results pick the next shoot
Two years of ad performance and comment sections is real data that helps growth. Every round gets built off what the last round proved. What angles best sell, which questions keep coming back.

What the founders have to say
“Ian is the perfect mix of thoughtful and creative. He has developed a style and technique that adapts to your brand, and he does a great job bringing visions and concepts to life.”
Zack Leitz, MODL Founder
“Ian is awesome to work with because he can move effortlessly between executing a vision and helping craft one. If you have an idea, he can bring it to life but if you want input and direction he provides that just as easily. Combined with great organization, creating with him is a great experience.”
Barak Zitron, MODL Founder
What a retainer bought them
Consistent social growth
A steady publishing rhythm that compounds, because the content never stopped and never had to be re-briefed.
Ads that work hard enough to scale on
Paid creative that has supported year-over-year growth, not just a good-looking quarter.
A media library that keeps paying
Two years of footage and finished cuts MODL owns and re-uses across launches, email, retail and the site. The asset that quietly makes every future campaign cheaper.
